Movistar led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Movistar had the Best Mobile Network overall, and the Best 5G Network, among providers in Spain during 1H 2025. It recorded a median download speed of 102.94 Mbps, and a median 5G download speed of 191.62 Mbps.
Movistar and Orange offered the best video experiences
Movistar offered the best 5G video streaming experience in Spain during 1H 2025, while Orange recorded the best video streaming experience among ISPs.
DIGI the fastest fixed ISP in Spain
DIGI was the fastest ISP in Spain during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 321.62 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 321.14 Mbps.
L’Hospitalet de Llobregat the top performing city in Spain
L’Hospitalet de Llobregat recorded the fastest median mobile and fixed download speeds among the most populous cities in Spain. Its median mobile download speed was 154.27 Mbps, and it recorded a median fixed download speed of 298.26 Mbps.

L’Hospitalet de Llobregat had the fastest median mobile download speed among Spain’s most populous cities, recording 154.27 Mbps. Málaga was second, followed by Seville in third. At the other end of the scale, Marbella had the slowest median mobile download speed at 73.73 Mbps, followed by Zaragoza and Valencia. Orange was the fastest provider across three cities.
Regional Performance
Community of Madrid had the fastest median mobile download speed among Spain’s regions, recording 88.55 Mbps. Cantabria was second, followed by Asturias in third. At the other end of the scale, Canary Islands had the slowest median mobile download speed at 47.01 Mbps, followed by Castile-La Mancha and Navarre. Movistar was the fastest provider across ten regions.

L’Hospitalet de Llobregat had the fastest median fixed download speed among Spain’s most populous cities, recording 298.26 Mbps. Zaragoza was second, followed by Málaga in third. At the other end of the scale, Marbella had the slowest median fixed download speed at 205.65 Mbps, followed by Barcelona and Palma.
Regional Performance
Melilla had the fastest median fixed download speed among Spain’s regions, recording 291.95 Mbps. Basque Country was second, followed by Asturias in third. At the other end of the scale, Canary Islands had the slowest median fixed download speed at 158.55 Mbps, followed by Balearic Islands and Region of Murcia. Orange was the fastest provider across four regions.
