Vodafone offered the best 5G gaming and video streaming experiences in Italy during 1H 2025. Among the ISPs in Italy, Sky recorded the best gaming and video streaming experiences.
Iliad the fastest fixed ISP in Italy
Iliad was the fastest ISP in Italy during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 360.42 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 237.62 Mbps.
Padua and Genoa were the top performing cities in Italy
Among the most populous cities in Italy, Padua recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 132.38 Mbps, while Genoa outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 207.35 Mbps.

Padua had the fastest median mobile download speed among Italy’s most populous cities, recording 132.38 Mbps. Bologna was second, followed by Milan in third. At the other end of the scale, Florence had the slowest median mobile download speed at 70.75 Mbps, followed by Genoa and Catania.
Regional Performance
Aosta Valley had the fastest median mobile download speed among Italy’s regions, recording 81.98 Mbps. Calabria was second, followed by Trentino-South Tyrol in third. At the other end of the scale, Umbria had the slowest median mobile download speed at 56.64 Mbps, followed by Tuscany and Marche. WINDTRE was the fastest provider across five regions.

Genoa had the fastest median fixed download speed among Italy’s most populous cities, recording 207.35 Mbps. Palermo was second, followed by Turin in third. At the other end of the scale, Florence had the slowest median fixed download speed at 96.13 Mbps, followed by Padua and Rome. Iliad was the fastest provider across eight cities.
Regional Performance
Molise had the fastest median fixed download speed among Italy’s regions, recording 152.81 Mbps. Sicily was second, followed by Lazio in third. At the other end of the scale, Aosta Valley had the slowest median fixed download speed at 51.45 Mbps, followed by Tuscany and Calabria. Iliad was the fastest provider across 12 regions.
