Claro had the Best Mobile Network overall, and the Best 5G Network, among providers in Guatemala during 1H 2025. It recorded a median download speed of 72.16 Mbps, and a median 5G download speed of 470.57 Mbps.
Claro and Cable Color offered the best gaming experiences
Claro offered the best mobile and 5G gaming experience in Guatemala during 1H 2025, while Cable Color recorded the best gaming experience among ISPs.

Cable Color was the fastest ISP in Guatemala during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 77.01 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 71.92 Mbps.
Guatemala and Zacapa were the top performing regions in Guatemala
Among the most populous regions in Guatemala, Guatemala recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 71.42 Mbps, while Zacapa outpaced the other regions to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 83.37 Mbps.

Claro had the Best Mobile Network overall, and the Best 5G Network, among providers in Guatemala during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data. It recorded a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 75.23, and a Speedtest 5G Connectivity Score of 82.23.

Fastest Mobile Network
Claro was the fastest mobile provider in Guatemala for all technologies combined and for 5G, based on Speed Score.
Claro led on median 5G download speed, recording 470.57 Mbps, ahead of next placed Tigo, which recorded 79.96 Mbps. Claro also led the market on median 5G upload speed, with 50.24 Mbps, and led on 5G latency, with 66 ms.

Most Consistent Network
Claro recorded the best mobile network Consistency in Guatemala, for all technologies combined and for 5G. Across all technologies, 93.8% of its samples met or exceeded the threshold of 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, while 96.4% of its 5G samples met or exceeded the higher threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.

Guatemala City had the fastest median mobile download speed among Guatemala’s most populous cities, recording 93.05 Mbps. Huehuetenango was second, followed by Escuintla in third. At the other end of the scale, Chimaltenango had the slowest median mobile download speed at 38.51 Mbps, followed by Cobán and Villa Nueva. Claro was the fastest provider across eight cities.
Regional Performance
Guatemala region had the fastest median mobile download speed among Guatemala’s regions, recording 71.42 Mbps. Peten was second, followed by Escuintla in third. At the other end of the scale, Quiche had the slowest median mobile download speed at 25.92 Mbps, followed by Totonicapan and Chimaltenango. Claro was the fastest provider across 21 regions.

Puerto Barrios had the fastest median fixed download speed among Guatemala’s most populous cities, recording 92.02 Mbps. Chimaltenango was second, followed by Antigua Guatemala in third. At the other end of the scale, Escuintla had the slowest median fixed download speed at 59.89 Mbps, followed by Quetzaltenango and Mazatenango. Claro was the fastest provider across five cities.
Regional Performance
Zacapa had the fastest median fixed download speed among Guatemala’s regions, recording 83.37 Mbps. Izabal was second, followed by Guatemala in third. At the other end of the scale, Quiche had the slowest median fixed download speed at 28.19 Mbps, followed by Chimaltenango and San Marcos Department. Claro was the fastest provider across 16 regions, followed by Cable Color in five.
