Valoo the fastest fixed ISP in Finland

Valoo was the fastest ISP in Finland during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 313.6 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 290.97 Mbps.

Helsinki and Lahti were the top performing cities in Finland

Among the most populous cities in Finland, Helsinki recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 185.48 Mbps, while Lahti outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 202.27 Mbps.

    DNA had the Best Mobile Network overall, and the Best 5G Network, among providers in Finland during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data. It recorded a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 81.74, and a Speedtest 5G Connectivity Score of 76.42. Speedtest Connectivity Score combines key metrics to evaluate the overall user experience that mobile providers offer. It includes Speed Score, as well as indicators for web browsing performance, and Video Streaming Score.

    DNA was the fastest mobile provider in Finland for all technologies combined and for 5G, based on Speed Score. Across all technologies combined, DNA led on median download speed, recording 135.95 Mbps, ahead of next placed Telia, which recorded 131.38 Mbps, and Elisa with 107.6 Mbps. DNA also led the market on median upload speed, with 22.8 Mbps, and a latency of 35 ms.

    DNA recorded the best mobile network Consistency in Finland, for all technologies combined and for 5G. Across all technologies, 96.2% of its samples met or exceeded the threshold of 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, while 89.9% of its 5G samples met or exceeded the higher threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.

    Helsinki had the fastest median mobile download speed among Finland’s most populous cities, recording 185.48 Mbps. Tampere was second, followed by Oulu in third. At the other end of the scale, Kouvola had the slowest median mobile download speed at 126.28 Mbps, followed by Espoo and Kuopio. DNA was the fastest provider across five cities.

    Regional Performance

    Pirkanmaa had the fastest median mobile download speed among Finland’s regions, recording 180.59 Mbps. Central Finland was second, followed by Northern Ostrobothnia in third. At the other end of the scale, North Karelia had the slowest median mobile download speed at 135.18 Mbps, followed by Kymenlaakso and Lapland. DNA was the fastest provider across three regions.

DNA was the fastest provider across three cities followed by Valoo in two.

      Satakunta had the fastest median fixed download speed among Finland’s regions, recording 200.89 Mbps. North Karelia was second, followed by Northern Ostrobothnia in third. At the other end of the scale, Pirkanmaa had the slowest median fixed download speed at 122.15 Mbps, followed by Uusimaa and Lapland. Valoo was the fastest provider across two regions.
