Netlife the best fixed network in Ecuador
Netlife was the best fixed network in Ecuador during 1H 2025, and was also the fastest ISP in the market. It recorded a median download speed of 151.02 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 131.75 Mbps.
Samborondon and Guayaquil were the top performing cities in Ecuador
Among the most populous cities in Ecuador, Samborondon recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 49.24 Mbps, while Guayaquil outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 160.84 Mbps.

City Performance
Samborondon had the fastest median mobile download speed among Ecuador’s most populous cities, recording 49.24 Mbps. Portoviejo was second, followed by Machala in third. At the other end of the scale, Riobamba had the slowest median mobile download speed at 22.01 Mbps, followed by Santo Domingo and Ambato.
Regional Performance
Zamora-Chinchipe had the fastest median mobile download speed among Ecuador’s regions, recording 54.79 Mbps. Santa Elena was second, followed by Los Ríos in third. At the other end of the scale, Orellana had the slowest median mobile download speed at 14.96 Mbps, followed by Cotopaxi and Carchi.

Guayaquil had the fastest median fixed download speed among Ecuador’s most populous cities, recording 160.84 Mbps. Samborondon was second, followed by Portoviejo in third. At the other end of the scale, Cuenca had the slowest median fixed download speed at 100.11 Mbps, followed by Machala and Ambato. Claro was the fastest provider across seven cities.
Regional Performance
Guayas had the fastest median fixed download speed among Ecuador’s regions, recording 157.26 Mbps. Manabí was second, followed by Cotopaxi in third. At the other end of the scale, Galápagos Islands had the slowest median fixed download speed at 37.9 Mbps, followed by Orellana and Sucumbios. Claro was the fastest provider across six regions.
