Claro had both the Best Mobile Network, and Best Fixed Network in the Dominican Republic during 1H 2025. Claro was the fastest ISP, recording a median download speed of 52.59 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 32.77 Mbps.
Santo Domingo the top performing city in the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo recorded the fastest median mobile and fixed download speeds among the most populous cities in the Dominican Republic. Its median mobile download speed was 131.61 Mbps, and it recorded a median fixed download speed of 60.21 Mbps.

Santo Domingo had the fastest median mobile download speed among the Dominican Republic’s most populous cities, recording 131.61 Mbps. La Vega was second, followed by Santiago De Los Caballeros in third. At the other end of the scale, San Pedro De Macoris had the slowest median mobile download speed at 34.1 Mbps, followed by Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo Este. Claro was the fastest provider across six cities.
Regional Performance
National District had the fastest median mobile download speed among the Dominican Republic’s regions, recording 132.16 Mbps. Hermanas Mirabal was second, followed by Monte Cristi in third. At the other end of the scale, Pedernales had the slowest median mobile download speed at 24.21 Mbps, followed by San Cristobal and San Pedro de Macoris. Claro was the fastest provider across 12 regions.
