Proximus led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Proximus was the fastest mobile provider in Belgium during 1H 2025, across all technologies combined. It recorded a median download speed of 93.33 Mbps, and an upload speed of 12.38 Mbps.
Orange and Scarlet offered the best video experiences
Orange offered the best 5G video streaming experience in Belgium during 1H 2025, while Scarlet recorded the best video streaming experience among ISPs.
Proximus fiber the fastest fixed ISP in Belgium
Proximus fiber was the fastest ISP in Belgium during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 323.3 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 199.54 Mbps.
Antwerp and Anderlecht were the top performing cities in Belgium
Among the most populous cities in Belgium, Antwerp recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 161.8 Mbps, while Anderlecht outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 163.16 Mbps.

Fastest Mobile Network
Proximus was the fastest mobile provider in Belgium based on Speedtest Intelligence® data for all technologies combined, with a Speed Score of 65.87. Proximus recorded a median download speed of 93.33 Mbps, followed by Orange, which recorded 91.24 Mbps, and Telenet/BASE with 80.54 Mbps. Proximus recorded a median upload speed of 12.38 Mbps, and the lowest latency with 38 ms.
Orange was the fastest 5G provider in Belgium based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with a Speed Score of 48.39. Orange led on median 5G download speed, recording 156.37 Mbps, ahead of next placed Proximus, which recorded 135.78 Mbps, and Telenet/BASE with 125.23 Mbps. Orange recorded a median 5G upload speed of 14.44 Mbps, and a latency over 5G of 39 ms

Most Consistent Network
There was no winner of best mobile network Consistency in Belgium during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with no statistical difference between the mobile providers. Proximus had the best 5G Consistency in the market, with 79.9% of samples meeting or exceeding the threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.

Telenet/BASE recorded the highest 5G Availability in Belgium during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with 19.6% of its users accessing its 5G network a majority of the time.

Orange recorded the best mobile video experience in Belgium, with a Video Streaming Score of 80.57. Orange also provided the best 5G video experience in the market, with a 5G Video Streaming Score of 85.46.

Gaming Experience
Proximus recorded the best mobile gaming experience in Belgium, with a Game Score of 89.89. Proximus also provided the best 5G gaming experience in the market, with a 5G Game Score of 91.84.

Antwerp had the fastest median mobile download speed among Belgium’s most populous cities, recording 161.8 Mbps. Ghent was second, followed by Bruges in third. At the other end of the scale, Schaerbeek had the slowest median mobile download speed at 82.82 Mbps, followed by Brussels and Namur. Orange was the fastest provider across four cities.
